Camera With Data Program . Provide Installation Circuit Diagram And VCDS Code.
INSTALLATION MANUAL
You will need:
Please note, there are cameras on the market that have no coding, so you need specific software to encode it, VCDS does not work (I paid the price). You also need a cable and VCDS software for encoding. Tools required:
1. Open the boot and unclip the lock cover by pulling strongly on it.
2. Using flat pliers, remove the 2 dowels located in the trunk closing handles.
3. Release the emergency release system.
4. Unclip the lower tailgate trim starting from the bottom.
5. Using a flat screwdriver, unclip the 2 side covers of the trunk strip.
6. Unclip the trunk strip.
7. Using a small screwdriver, release the electrical connector from the boot strip.
8. Using flat pliers, remove the 2 dowels from the upper cover of the tailgate.
9. Unclip the upper cover of the tailgate.
10. Undo each end of the hose between the tailgate and the passenger compartment.
11. Open the driver's door and unclip the "TT" panel.
12. Unclip the side cover.
13. Unclip the “Airbag” cover from the side pillar.
14. Using a Torx 27 wrench, remove the screw then unclip the side upright.
15. Lift the seal and release the canopy trim.
16. Using 2 keys, remove the MMI then disconnect it.
17. Fit the cable between the tailgate and the glove box (be careful not to hinder the deployment of the curtain airbag).
18. Connect the 6 electric wires between the camera (black connector and fakra) and the quadlock connector: + 12V (terminal 1 of the black connector) -> to the red / yellow wire 18 of the quadlock Ground (terminal 5 of the black connector) - > on the brown wire 17 of the CAN HIGH quadlock (terminal 4 of the black connector) -> on the orange / purple wire 6 of the gray connector of the quadlock
CAN LOW (terminal 8 of the black connector) -> on the orange / brown wire 12 of the gray connector of the
Video camera quadlock (terminal 1 of the fakra connector) -> on terminal 6 of the blue connector of the quadlock
Camera ground (terminal 2 of the connector fakra) -> on terminal 12 of the blue connector of the quadlock
For the first 4 wires, I soldered them after having cut the insulation with a cutter, then I insulated with charterton.
19. Fit the strip with the reversing camera and replace the tailgate trim.
20. Replace all the covers then reassemble the MMI.
21. Using VCDS and a cable, recode the vehicle: Address 19 - add 6C in the CAN Gateway list
Address 10 activate the camera: check bits 4 & 5 of byte 02 (Rear View Camera installed).
Address 5F in adaptation, make the following modifications:
Car function list BAP Gen2-VPS_0x0B, change to Activated
Car function list BAP Gen2-VPS_0x0B_msg_bus, change to Terminal 15 (Immo-slave status / terminal 15)
then reset the unit 5F
For information, the camera (6C) is coded 0237060102002001000040 in my case.
